How to mount the bracket: 

It is important that the bracket be mounted properly. Otherwise, the leverage will be different from what the support was designed for, potentially causing the product to fail prematurely or bend the bracket. When installed, the arrow stamp on the lower bracket should point outwards towards the sky. 

Ensure the support is the proper length: 

Place the new support next to the old removed support and ensure they are the same length.  If there is a difference in length, please call our team at 866-969-5438 before installation. This will allow us to ensure you have the correct support and troubleshoot further if necessary. 

Our PM1136L-R is designed for models with a power liftgate that does not include the 9-speaker audio system.  This support measures 20.16". 

We’ve noticed that some power liftgate models require the shorter PM2056L-R 19.89" version. If your current brackets are bending, this might be the solution. Please contact our team to confirm compatibility before installing the support. 

Pull Down Motor:

These vehicles often have a Pull-down motor that assists in closing the hatch. This is our 4Q-585836 support.
